TERCIO DE NATURALES, PARDOS Y MORENOS – 1807
They were part of the army commanded by the colonel Francisco Javier Elío. It was formed by 2 grenadiers companies and 7 of fusiliers, with a total of 352 men. Commanded by Dn. José Ramón Baudrix (captain of the old urban militias) and aided by Dn. Manuel Ruiz, a Spanish neighbor of Buenos Aires. Their Staff was of 1 commander, 1 sergeant major, 2 major adjutants, 2 flagmen, 1 chaplain, 1 surgeon and 1 greater drum. The “Tercio de Naturales” were a body of militias (integrated by Indians that lived in the city), recruited as auxiliary of the artillery. The uniform was similar for all but differed the color of the jackets and the helmets feathers.

NATURALES: The officials used blue jackets with the collar scarlet with silver gallon and the cuff in yellow, three rows of silver buttons; white pants with middle black leather boots, light blue belt band with silver fringe, ball helmet with crest of yellow color and red cockade in the front. The troop with light blue jacket with white cuff and a row of silver buttons, white pants and black booty, helmet with white crest and red feather to the left side, over the cockade.

PARDOS: The officers used the blue jacket,  but with the collar and cuff in black, three rows of golden buttons and crimson belt band, white pants with middle boots. Black galley with a golden grenade with the flames in red at the front and of which came out an emerald green feather. The troop of the same uniform and the helmet with the crest of black skin, feather and red cockade to the left side. Cartridge holder belt type to the front, and is possible that they carried civil origin knives.

MORENOS: The officers used the red jacket with collar and cuff in white, three rows of silver buttons; belt band half white and half crimsom, white pants and middle black boots. The helmet with the crest of white skin. The troop of similar uniform and helmet with red feather and cockade to the left. Belt with cartridge belt to the front.
