Some history:  By the middle of the 70´ Ecuador it offers of United States the rising of the veto that had on the motors J-79 that equipped the Kfir. When not being able to get it decides the purchase of the Mirage F1 to France. The acquired version was the F1 JA, in fact it is a modified version of the E. The deliveries began in 1978 and they concluded in fair November of 1980, when they were to begin the first skirmishes with the Peru. Hardly arrived the last Mirage to Ecuador, these they flew immediately on patrol. So, always according to Ecuadorian sources, at least a F1 made a missile launching with uncertain result. This would change in January of 1995 with a new confrontation among Ecuadorian and Peruvians for the Valley of the Cénepa. In February of this year the F1 FAE-806 and 807 intercepted two SU-22, achieving two victories. The FAE-807, is the F1 represented in the model.
The model: The kit is a reproduction of ESCI. It has the correct panels and of good quality. The same one is made down that which, as all we know it facilitates the detailed one. Anyway one should work to stuff the unions since the plastic, perhaps for the lapsed time it could not unite in all sides. Also, there are diverse fissures in the fuselage that it is necessary to cover so that they don't see each other. The interior doesn't possess but it details that one decal for the board, the seat should be modified because the Ecuadorian version has the Martin Baker Mk 4, with two rings in the bolster instead of one. The armament, to be in agreement, it should be Magic I or II in each wing tip, although there is some picture for Internet that you can appreciate that carries Python III, this time under the plane.

The colors with those that are colored are French, therefore F.S doesn't possess. Anyway, in the inferior part it is a LIGTH GRAY, near to the 36622 and in the superior part it is DARK GREEN, similar to the 34079 and MEDIUM GREEN similar at the 34257. In this case I used the paintings of Monitor (Made in Argentina) they have their equivalent one in Humbrol. For the Ligth Gray (22M) with some black (62M), for the dark Green the 59M and for the half Green 55M.
