History tells that the modeller in holidays sharpen the senses in search of some plastic or diverse material that of some form ties to the hobby. The question is that passed days without results, the author of these photos quickly was sent to buy food supplies for the family, and in its concentrate to walk discovered this little jewel, used as firemen truck (we spoke of January of 2009). Nothing less than a Ford Canada adapted like firemen truck…

Logically it counts on some modifications with respect to the original model, but it is evident the care and dedication of those who confronted the work. The model was used during World War II, and was made with minimum variants as much by Ford as by Chevrolet, and served for the Allies in the European front as in the African desert.

A considerable number was acquired by our Army and surely the model that also occupies us there fulfilled services. This beautiful truck, according to would comment a kind public servant, was rescued of a secure destiny as scrap iron and adapted a Perkins diesel engine replacing the old gasoline engine that it had (by the way, that these last ones were of high fuel consumption).

From this web site our greater recognition to the commune of San Cayetano, Province of Buenos Aires, by the excellent work carried out.

For the plastic modellers we remembered the existence of a 1/35 scale model of Italeri.
